Front‑door pricing depends on material, size, glazing, hardware and any side or top lights. As a rough guide, a uPVC front door in Ireland typically sits in the €1,500–€2,800 range, a composite or aluminium entrance door €2,500–€5,000, and a premium Spitfire S‑500 starts higher than that. Every Wright door is custom‑made, so we’ll measure up and give you a free no‑obligation written quote.

Once your door is manufactured, the physical installation is usually a half‑day to a full day depending on the size of the opening and any reveal work required. We aim to keep the house weather‑tight throughout — you’ll be left with a working door at the end of the day. Manufacturing lead time varies by season; ring or request a quote and we’ll give you a current timeline.

Composite doors use a solid timber core wrapped in a tough GRP (fibreglass) skin — warm, secure, and very common as a UK‑style residential door. Aluminium front doors (like our Spitfire range) use a thermally‑broken aluminium frame and an insulated core, giving slimmer profiles, larger maximum sizes, and a more premium contemporary look. Aluminium handles big front‑door designs that composite can’t structurally do. Both perform well thermally; the choice is mainly aesthetic.

Every Wright door — uPVC, aluminium, aluclad or composite — ships with a multi‑point locking system and toughened safety glass as standard. The Spitfire S‑500 uses Schüco German precision locking, with options for biometric (fingerprint) or keyfob entry. Locks are upgradeable on every range; talk to us if you have specific insurance or planning requirements.

For exposed sites — coastal, hilltop, west‑facing — specify aluminium or aluclad construction with enhanced weather seals and a wind‑rated frame profile. Avoid uPVC for very exposed front entrances; the frame can flex under high wind loads on large doors. uPVC and composite doors come in White, Cream, Anthracite Grey, Bog Oak (Black), Light Oak, Rosewood and more — with the option of different colours inside and out (e.g. anthracite exterior, white interior).
