These terms set out the basis on which Wright Windows (“we”, “us”) quotes for, supplies and installs windows and doors, and the basis on which you may use this website. Please read them alongside your written quotation and order paperwork — where those documents record something specific to your project, such as price, specification, payment schedule or guarantee period, those details take precedence over the general wording here.

Using this website
The content on this site is provided for general information. Product descriptions, performance figures, indicative prices and lead times are given in good faith but are not an offer to contract. Specifications and ranges can change. The binding description of what you are buying is the one on your written quotation and order paperwork.
Photographs of completed work show real installations. Colours and finishes reproduce differently on screen, so please view samples in our showroom before making a final colour decision.
Quotations
A quotation is an invitation to proceed, not a contract in itself. Unless the quotation says otherwise, it is based on the information available at the time it was prepared, and it remains open for the period stated on the document. Where a quotation is prepared before a site survey, it is an estimate and may be revised once final measurements are taken.
Surveys and final measurements
Manufacture is based on a survey and final measurements taken by us. If the opening, structure or site conditions differ materially from what was surveyed — for example because of building work carried out in the meantime — the specification, price or timescale may need to change. We will tell you before proceeding.
Placing an order
A contract comes into effect when you accept our quotation and we confirm the order in writing. Because products are manufactured to your measurements and specification, an order cannot normally be altered once it has entered production. If you need a change, tell us as early as possible and we will tell you whether it is still possible and what it affects.
Prices, VAT and payment
Prices are quoted in euro. Whether a quoted price includes VAT and fitting is stated on the quotation itself, so please check that document. Any deposit, staged payment or balance-on-completion arrangement is the one set out in your quotation and order paperwork.
Made-to-measure goods and your right to cancel
This section matters, so it is worth reading carefully.
Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, consumers normally have 14 days to cancel a contract agreed at a distance or away from a trader’s premises. However, that right does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer’s own measurements or specification.
Windows and doors we manufacture for your openings, in your chosen material, style, colour and hardware, are made-to-measure goods. Once such an order is confirmed and has entered production, the statutory 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to it.
Where an order is for stock items that are not made or personalised to your specification, the 14-day right does apply in the normal way. If you are unsure which category your order falls into, ask us before you sign.
None of this affects your rights if goods turn out to be faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
Lead times, delivery and installation
Lead times quoted are estimates based on current production schedules. We will keep you informed if a date moves. We are not responsible for delays caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including weather that makes installation unsafe, delays by other trades on site, or supply interruptions from our own suppliers.
Access and site readiness
To install, we need safe and reasonable access to the openings, on the agreed date. Please clear the working area inside and out, remove blinds, curtains and their fittings, and make sure any alarm sensors, wiring or pipework attached to the frames have been dealt with beforehand. If we cannot proceed because the site is not ready, a return visit may be chargeable.
Installation involves making good around the new frames to a normal standard. Unless the quotation says otherwise, it does not include decorating, plastering, tiling, structural work, or the removal of materials that require specialist handling.
Guarantee and after-sales
Our guarantee terms depend on the product range and configuration, and the exact period that applies to your order is stated on your written quotation and order paperwork. Guarantees cover manufacturing defects in normal domestic use. They do not cover accidental damage, misuse, damage caused by others working on the property, or ordinary wear to moving parts and finishes.

Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms reduces your rights as a consumer under Irish law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022. Any guarantee we give is in addition to those rights, not a replacement for them.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of us breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else where the law does not allow exclusion.

Intellectual property
The text, photography, product imagery and design of this website belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our consent.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when your order was confirmed. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent change to this page.
Governing law
These terms and any contract made under them are governed by the law of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction.
